Since 2011 the company „ZIBU Ventspils” also offers a chunk peat. Chunk peat basically is a mixture of different natural extruded peat moss and other wastes. Chunk peat is extracted from the peat layer with a special cutting technology. Chunk peat is being dried with the sun and wind.
In order to create better structure it is left outside in the winter, placed in piles and frozen. Chunk peat is used as one of the components for improving of the structure when manufacturing a variety of substrates and soil additives. Before using chunk peat is crushed by a special mill and dispersed into appropriate factions. It is possible to obtain products with perfect structure if using chunk peat, which is not observed in other types of peat.
No other type of peat has such a quantity of air and the ability to absorb water as crushed chunk peat.
„ZIBU Ventspils” Ltd delivers products using transport of clients. Supply is controlled by a joint agreement with the client. The company cooperates with several international logistics and transportation companies, which can deliver the products at any desired location or country. Delivery can be implemented by land transport or sea transport.
